Many thanks, Brig I can position it where I want it, but the next time I start Notepad++, the icon is back all the way to the right. It works perfectly, but the icon always wants to be last on the toolbar. Hi: I have three custom icons, one of them triggers the TextFX plugin's word count action. and that seems to have solved the problem. I stopped using the TextFX word count, changed to View|Summary. This only occurs when Notepad++ is opened by double-clicking.

Strangely, additional buttons showing the default icons for these functions also appear. Almost every custom button defined in Customize Toolbar appears out of order in the Notepad++ toolbar, and with an exclamation point instead of its correct icon image. When NPP_He圎dit v0.9.10 is used with the Customize Toolbar extension v5.2 or v5.3 () in Notepad++ v8.1.4, the result is problematic.
